Mass flowmeter is based on Coriolis force, there are two parallel flow tubes inside the sensor, the middle is equipped with a driving coil, both ends are equipped with a detection coil, the excitation voltage provided by the transmitter is added to the driving coil, the vibration tube for reciprocating cycle vibration, the fluid medium of the industrial process flows through the vibration tube of the sensor, will produce Coriolis force effect on the vibration tube, so that the two vibration tube torsional vibration, Detection coils installed at both ends of the vibrator will generate two sets of signals with different phases. The phase difference between the two signals is proportional to the mass flow of fluid flowing through the sensor. The mass flow through the vibrator is calculated by computer. When different media flow through the sensor, the main vibration frequency of the tube is different, and the density of the medium can be calculated accordingly. Mass flowmeter directly measures the mass flow of the medium through the flowmeter, but also measures the density of the medium and indirectly measures the temperature of the medium.

Advantages: Can measure the flow rate of various solutions, including pure water.

Disadvantages: large volume, poor shock resistance, not conducive to directly installed in the pump (affect accuracy).

Electromagnetic flowmeter

Electromagnetic flowmeter is the application of conductive body movement in the magnetic field to generate induced electromotive force, and the induced electromotive force is proportional to the flow size, by measuring the electromotive force to reflect the principle of pipeline flow and made. Its measurement accuracy and sensitivity are high, can be measured large diameter up to 2m, and pressure loss is minimal, but low conductivity of the medium can not be applied.

Advantages: small size, good shock resistance, can be installed directly after the pump.

Disadvantages: When the liquid conductivity is less than 5μs/cm, the detection accuracy will be affected
